Osteria ae Cravate – Authentic Venetian Seafood & Upscale Dining in Venice

24 July 2025: What a wonderful experience we had enjoying a tremendous meal with lots of delish flavor and zeal from the crew at Osteria AE Cravate. The manager of this restaurant "Adrion" really goes over and beyond welcoming customers with some wonderful tasty food selections. We didn't even look at the menu as we wanted to enjoy our last evening in Venice by letting Adrion give us his special recommendations for this evening. We started with two different appetizers for this evening; both came with an unbelievable tasty sauce...really tasty for sure. The entree was served and presented beautifully from the de-boning of the Seabass with vegetables to the serving plate. The pictures we took really gave us a treasured memory of great food and experiences with Adrion and his staff. Everyone was so friendly and attentive to our meal needs. I would strongly encourage you getting out to try this restaurant if you are ever in Venice...you will certainly be glad you did. Thanks to Adrion and his Team at Osteria AE Cravate for a wonderful memory that we will truly cherish for a very long time.

Phenomenal experience from the delicious food to the incredible service, Osteria ae Cravate was incredible. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone in Venice looking for an upscale yet affordable dining experience.

The hotel concierge recommended this place. He was absolutely correct. The girl had spaghetti allo scogolio which she loved. Sauce was great and the cook on the seafood was on point. I had the spaghetti algio e olio vongole. The clams were cooked perfectly. The pasta was al dente. The sauce was amazing. Best version of that dish I ever had. Service and atmosphere were good. Not sure why this place doesn't get higher ratings. Highly recommended

It’s convenient located close to our hotel (Palazzo Marcelo) and they provided complimentary drinks for the hotel guests. They were one of the few good restaurants open for late lunch (around 4pm). The food was delicious, the service was okay. They don’t have lots of seatings but it’s enough for a group of 7 people. The menu has lots of seafood options which is not my favorite. We ordered the prosciutto with bufala mozzarella for starter (was good but I prefer burrata cheese), tuna fettuccini, 4 cheese gnocchi (this one they ran out of gnocchi for sure because the portion was laughable), bolognese fettuccini, some sautéed veggies and filetto di manzo ai porcini (beef with mushrooms). The portions were big except for the gnocchi and all full of flavor!

We went there to have dinner with a friend and had a lovely experience. I took the seafood menu and it was delicious, with a nice glass of wine. (Salmon and zucchini gnocchi, fresh fish with vegetables, strawberries millefeuille). The staff is friendly and particularly the dark hair waitress from Moldova, who made sure we were having a good time. We did not like the desert (too fat, tasting like butter). I would go back when visiting Venice.

Probably the best seafood I’ve had anywhere. Staff friendly and accommodating. Finished with a chocolate torta and fantastic limoncello shot

Our family is on vacation from USA and this was the best Italian food we’ve had while here. The mixed fish plate was awesome and the service was engaging.

The best restaurants in Venice! Fantastic service here and specially thanks to Adrian for tension to detail of the food and wine recommendation. We visit here twice and cannot find the fault to complain at all. I wish,I found this place in early of our Holliday but definitely this place is a gem of Venice and highly recommend!!
